The days race by quickly as we multi-task, schedule, prioritize, juggle and run in our attempt to balance our business and family lives.
And it is easy to be overcome and somehow lost in the shuffle. We may lose our center, become unfocused, and frazzled as a result, our goals seeming to be more and more distant.
We can get completely mired in simply accomplishing the list of activities that keep us afloat.
But there is a simple power that we all possess, one which can immediately quiet the mind, and help us to regain our center, and focus.
That is the power of Gratitude.
I think we can all be grateful every day for many little things, and hugely important things with which we are blessed.
But do we remember to stop and actually give thanks for those things?
Just taking a moment out of each day, preferably first thing in the morning and as you lay down to sleep at night, will do wonders whether you are feeling scattered and stressed or even if you are feeling quite balanced and accomplished.
Do not forget this wonderful gift you have to take control of your over-stuffed mind and be at peace for a crucial few moments out of every day.
When you do this you will find you have more energy, more power, and will be even happier and willing to give to those around you.
I’ve made it a habit in my life to take these moments every morning and night, and sometimes many times during the day to just stop and be grateful. To truly enjoy the simple pleasures that so many take for granted.
And I have found it to be truly my only source of strength in some of the most difficult times of my life, for example as my mother suffered with pancreatic cancer and passed away three years ago.
I was grateful for every moment I had left with her. I was grateful to have her for a mother, for I can’t even express how beautiful a spirit she truly was.
But in the pain of losing her I had at least that, my gratitude to her, and for her.
And in the simple pleasures of every day, I know that I gain strength from that recognition that i am blessed to be in this world, enjoying the good health and fortune that I have, and so many other things.
As an example of my recent thought toward this post, I’ve frequently been in awe of the giving and wonderful positive minded people that I’ve been blessed to come in contact with through social media. As a result of that inspiration, I’ve put a list of blogs together in a My Tribe section of this blog to express my gratitude for some of the many friends I have made through the blogging community, some of my most dedicated commentators and those from whose blogs i have gained tremendous value.
I introduced this page in my post “Social Media Gratitude, Honoring My Tribe“. It’s just one small way that I can show my gratitude, and I know it’s not nearly enough, for there are so many more people with whom I have developed friendships through social media.
But if you are going about your day filled with gratitude, as you will be if you practice the thought process at least a couple of times a day, you will find it much easier to be centered and focused on your goals.
Your success will be attracted at a much faster rate. For gratitude is one of the more powerful positive emotions that allows manifestation of your desires through the Law of Attraction.
I hope you will take this to heart and truly stop and think of each person and each simple thing you can be grateful for each day. Because I know this will empower you to find the success you so richly deserve!
Wishing You Massive Success,

Thank you for sharing a great post on gratitude. Aside from all of the Law of Attraction stuff, just image how much happier our world would be if everyone showed more gratitude. It starts with us and it starts right now.
Hi Wayne!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! It would be amazing, wouldn’t it, if people spent more time in a gratuitous frame of mind! I think it’s contagious though, and so you’re right – it starts with us right now!
Wishing You and Amazing Day!

Great post my friend.
I’m sorry to hear of your mother’s passing
3 years ago. My heart goes out to you.
As far as gratitude goes, you hit the nail
on the head.
I honestly believe that authentic gratitude
is one of the most potent forms of
empowerment.
To me, gratitude = love.
I say this because everyone ends up with the same
conclusion about life…
Some realize it sooner and others realize it
later that life is nothing but a love game.
Thanks for your insights in this post Vicki.

Your kind words are heartwarming. And you’re right, gratitude IS love, and is one of the most powerfully positive emotions, complete with even powers of healing, indeed potent empowerment! We all share the same power, and if everyone used it, well, what a wonderful world as sung by one of my favorite voices, Louis Armstrong.
Wishing you fulfillment and success in every way!

HI Vicki,
thanks for this great post. The Power of Gratitude is key and magnet of success and fulfillment. We should always keep in mind that there’s also the power of ingratitude, this one works, too. So if there’s any kind of power working anyway, why not using it to our and other people’s advantage ?
Take care
Oliver

Hi Vicki! What a beautiful post and so very true. I too went through many difficult times the past couple of years (not at all what you went through, I am so sorry for your loss
) and they truly hit me hard all at once. I must say you hit it right on the head as everyday I do the same exact thing when I wake up and go to bed… doing this brought in more happiness than I ever thought possible and allowed me to get through some really difficult times with a true happiness inside.
Being truly grateful and thankful for what you already have or what you have been given will allow so much more to be thankful for into your life. I am so happy you shared this post and what an inspiring message!

Thank you Jennifer!
We are truly connected by our joy and pain, it’s part of what brings us together, and what I am so thankful for! I’m glad to hear that you do the same daily ritual of gratitude – one of my mentors actually keeps a gratitude book, and every day writes into it who she has been blessed by that day, and who she has been a blessing to. I have not done that but I can surely see that would be an added benefit!
I am truly blessed to have you for a friend Jennifer, and thanks once again for stopping by, it’s always a joy to see you!
Wishing You Wonderful Success,
Vicki,
I’m grateful for you writing this blog post! So important that We ALL take time to be appreciative of the many blessings we have in life, for we also know that we get MORE of what we appreciate.
In the same vein, we get MORE of what we Don’t Appreciate. Doesn’t matter what it is. When we focus on it with passion, we tend to get more of it. Thank you for the reminder for us to continue to be thankful.

Hi Philip!
Great to see you! Thanks for stopping by, and you are so right. We so get more of what we appreciate, due to the positive emotional vibration we exude being grateful. And as you said, due to negative emotions we can also attract more of what we do not want. This is why it is so important to practice gratitude (even all day as you mentioned in your recent post on the topic using a gratitude stone!).. It keeps us from wandering to those negative emotions!
Thanks again for stopping and for your comment, I hope you have an awesome day!
Wishing You Brilliant Success,

Thank you for the great post, Vicki! I think that regardless of anything about the Law of Attraction that gratitude gives someone a lot less anxiety. After all, if we are grateful for the things we do have, we spend less time focusing on what we don’t have, which can lead to resentment if it becomes an obsession.

Hi Steve!
Yes you are correct, regardless of how Gratitude plays into attracting more of what you want, the act of intentionally focusing on Gratitude certainly does reduce stress, and brings a sense of peace and calm.
Remember that we cannot focus on two opposing thoughts or emotions at the same time. So if you are focused on Gratitude, Love, Peace, Joy or Hope for example, you cannot be feeling negative emotions at the same time such as Worry, Anxiety, Rage, Jealousy, etc.
What a simple tool we have just in the knowing of that and how easy it is to use it by merely redirecting our thoughts. Our thoughts precede emotions, so that is where it starts!
Thanks for stopping by once again!
Wishing You Powerful Success,

Wishing You Brilliant Success Always,

Hey Vicki,
Really like your post. I’m a firm believer in “Gratitude”. When we awake each day, we should have gratitude for even the small things… like the roof over our head, the bed we sleep in, the cloths we wear… we will start the day off with a great attitude of gratitude. See what happens.

Vicki, that is a beautiful post, and I’m sure your mother still knows how you feel about her.
Gratitude certainly does make a huge difference in the world. Finding things around us to be grateful for, makes us feel soooo much better than finding things to whine about:-)
Speaking of gratitude, I really appreciate you for making me part of your tribe on your tribe page Vicki. It was a lovely surprise!
I look forward to coming to your blog, there’s always something valuable here. You’re a true leader Vicki!
