But doing so will be worthwhile if you develop your brand with quality and persistence, and it will make leading with a company replicated website seem trivial.

My Blog: Clínica de Estética Learned a lot. I am not a guru when it comes to internet marketing so this is very helpful for me. Good thoughts specifically on replicating processes and systems rather than replicating sites. This has always been a challenge for a lot of internet marketers out there...especially the newbies. You will a lot of us use our time on more important things. Hats off to you for sharing these ideas!

Hi Amy!

That might be fine as well for sending traffic to for people looking specifically for Shaklee products, or if you can, while making the lead page generic also control the SEO components of that page (with replicated sites you have no control over many of the tags, etc).

So on the alternative, you might do a health blog which also happens to highlight some of your products or mention them in specific posts. This way you can optimize it for searches on various keywords relevant to your products.

And then when looking for business partners (which is what you want to do in MLM so that you can leverage the power of exponential growth), the marketing is more toward success driven practices or marketing tutorials, something along those lines, again not company specific.

The reason for this is that it simply can target a much larger audience. For example people looking for Shaklee vs people looking for nutritional information is a much smaller percentage. And, people in looking to join Shaklee vs people looking for an MLM company or just a good leader, again, a much smaller vs a much target audience, see what I mean?

In the case of replicated sites, you simply have no chance of being found in organic searches, given the duplication of these sites in Google’s eyes, as well as the lack of SEO control on your part.

Thanks, Vicki. This was a great comparison. I have my company replicated site, but then I also rent a great health site about Shaklee products at http://www.betterhealthin31days.com. I wrote the opening page, but other than that, I can’t personalize it. It is helpful for sending people to for health questions. Do you think this one is useful? It is not really for sponsoring/recruiting though. What do you think?
