A Company Replicated Website is Useful for…
Most people doing any online marketing these days are aware that using their company’s replicated web site is not going to come close to providing them an internet marketing plan.
In fact, the use of these sites should be limited to only those people that you may already have a relationship with, either as customers or prospects.
An MLM company replicated website is absolutely necessary for the core of your network marketing business, but not your own marketing.
These sites are never going to be favored in the least by search engines because of their duplicity, and even using paid advertising such as PPC is going to be lackluster in results for these reasons.
Sure, you may be willing to just go straight for the keyword searches and pay on a per click basis to send people to your site, but as competition increases then so does your cost per click.
And still, your marketing plan has to include how you will go about your use of AdWords, etc.
And while a company replicated website is nice to have, and necessary to duplicate company specific actions,if you want to be building your business through a team of distributors working online as well as offline, then this is no plan for success.
So If Not a Company Replicated Website Then What?
The point is that with any sales and marketing you must build know-like-and-trust.
And with network marketing in particular, if you intend on building relationships with people that you would like to have join your business, then the company replicated website is not going to achieve that kind of result.
What you might have heard by now is that if you are doing any network marketing online then you have to employ some attraction marketing in order to capture the attention of your targeted market.
You have to do nothing short of providing value that will help people to succeed. Being a relationship business, it is based on giving without want, without an agenda, expecting nothing in return.
We all know the famous Zig Ziglar quote “You can have everything in life you want, if you help enough other people get what they want”.
If you give what you believe will solve the problems of your target market, and provide them with what they want, while you enrich your own life.
Replicated Marketing Websites Win Over a Company Replicated Website
Whether you are struggling to find a way to build your network marketing business online or generate more leads than you might have been with your current online activities, I encourage you to use a duplicatable system, rather than a company replicated website.
And this is regardless of whether you are doing your own blog (what you might do to enhance your personal brand).
Duplication is inherently difficult in attraction marketing and social media marketing, so it is essential that you do your best to be sure that your team doesn’t get lost in the internet marketing vortex!
Why? Because blogging isn’t for everyone, and you need something duplicatable for your team to use!
But the usefulness of even lead generating replicated sites is that they have their place in marketing, where MLM company replicated websites simply do not.
As long as you get that your company replicated website isn’t a marketing plan, it is what comes after your marketing exercises!
Good thoughts about these replicated sites. There really is no substitute for building your own and promoting the brand: You!

When you say company website what exactly do you mean? I am a Realtor and I am wondering if using a company called advanced access to host and maintain my website works against me. Advanced access is a large company that helps tons of realtors with their websites. I’ve had a site with them for the last 7 years, but am just now starting to try and take it to the next level. I am just starting to get into social media marketing and SEO and am looking for some guidance.

I do not think you have so much to worry about as I believe that your web hosting company is a third party company working for Realtors of many Realty companies. The company websites I am talking about are completely replicated, identical in every way, all of the content, tags and data. This is what makes them SEO unfriendly. Also, these company replicated web sites are not promoting the individual distributor building his or her business, as your own websites with Advanced probably does. We as network marketers should really be leading with ourselves in network marketing particularly, or we would not stand out from the companies we represent. As for real estate, each property is a separate entity and is not as if it were a product line.

Yeah company replicated websites won’t do the trick. It doesn’t matter how your marketing, they just don’t work.
I mean I hate it when I’m facebook and someone posts something on my wall and it sends me to a replicated site. I mean honestly, we’ve all seen the hybrid comp plans, the massive spillovers, the revolutionary products, the amazing founders, and they haven’t made me any money!
People that do that are honestly wasting their time, but luckily you’re helping to straighten things out : )

That might be fine as well for sending traffic to for people looking specifically for Shaklee products, or if you can, while making the lead page generic also control the SEO components of that page (with replicated sites you have no control over many of the tags, etc).
So on the alternative, you might do a health blog which also happens to highlight some of your products or mention them in specific posts. This way you can optimize it for searches on various keywords relevant to your products.
And then when looking for business partners (which is what you want to do in MLM so that you can leverage the power of exponential growth), the marketing is more toward success driven practices or marketing tutorials, something along those lines, again not company specific.
The reason for this is that it simply can target a much larger audience. For example people looking for Shaklee vs people looking for nutritional information is a much smaller percentage. And, people in looking to join Shaklee vs people looking for an MLM company or just a good leader, again, a much smaller vs a much target audience, see what I mean?
In the case of replicated sites, you simply have no chance of being found in organic searches, given the duplication of these sites in Google’s eyes, as well as the lack of SEO control on your part.
