    Hello Vicki,
Thanks for sharing the beneficial nutritional info. Balance is the key. I came to learn this years ago. I really needed it earlier, but Thank God I learned it, just the same.

    Cheers,
    Joe

You are dead-on about pretty much every point you make in the post and video, but the statement I’d like to take a closer look at is the one pertaining to proper nutrition being a major factor in helping to stave off disease.

First of all, you are unequivocally correct in your assertion that indeed proper nutrition does play a vital role in helping to stave off disease. Unfortunately, there are still far too many doctors out there who either are hesitant to accept this simple fact or are too afraid of facing ridicule from peers to say so publicly if they are aware of the scientific connection between disease and poor nutrition.

Granted, not all doctors share this fear, and the number of those who do may not even constitute a majority. However, given the nature and the importance of their jobs, that even one licensed physician would experience any hesitancy in acknowledging the relationship between such things as vitamins (particularly vitamin D), probiotics and disease prevention is alarming to me.

The pharmaceutical lobby has done a tremendous job of influencing the American medical system in such a way that post-diagnostic reactive medicine (the treatment of a disease or condition after the manifestation of symptoms)

Sorry, my comment got cut off.

Anyway, the gist of what I was trying to say is that it is long-past time the American medical system as a whole reevaluated the role of prevention in medicine, and that begins with widespread acknowledgment of the myriad studies confirming the relationship between poor nutrition and the manifestation/proliferation of disease and illness.

      Hi Peter!

I completely agree. It’s really quite frightening what the food and pharmaceutical industries can pass as good for us. It’s up to us to do our research and due diligence!

For me, it is essential to have a healthy mind and body if you want to develop and enhance your skills. When it comes to health, we should know that taking care of the body should be prioritized to prevent different kinds of harmful and health threatening diseases.

    Hi Vicki,

Thank you for this post very informative. Just one question – Is it true that every time we exercise our body releases happy hormones and keep us positive and happy as well?

I would really appreciate your respsonse on this.

    • Vicki says:

      Hi James,

Yes you are right about the exercise, it releases endorphins which most definitely help with mood, release stress and give us better health all around!

Wishing You Fabulous Health and Success,
      Vicki

I agree with you about exercising. It has really helped me not only become more fit, but also become more happier and more energetic. It is amazing the effects that exercising and eating right have on ones mood and overall health.

  8. Alexander James says:

    Hi Vicki,

Thanks for sharing that video with us. I find your blog interesting. What the poster above said was right: Balance is the key. Actually, it’s balance and discipline. People who are overweight lack a lot of discipline, choosing to eat whatever they want and they don’t think about the consequences that they will reap after.

I read about how a person should be disciplined if they want to focus on losing unwanted weight. Ryan Seacrest used to be really big but he said he had a strict diet, which was to control what he was eating during weekdays and eating whatever he wanted during weekends. It led him to the body he has now.

    • Vicki says:

      Hi Alexander,

Yep, balance is certainly the key, with persistence and control at the wheel. It certainly had paid off for many in all types of goals!

      Wishing You Wonderful Success,
      Vicki
